Where to start on your Ayurvedic Journey

Making positive changes in our lives is often so overwhelming that we stop before we even start. The power of habit & routine is so strong that continuing our current path is often easier for us, even though deep down we know that we want a different path for ourselves, something lighter, an easier path.

Society & social media shows us a thousand ways we should be, all the things we should do, eat or buy. All of these things that we can have that will help us be happy & maybe for a moment they will, or maybe we just end up needing that next thing as well?


At Rituals, our philosophy is one that embraces the uniqueness of every individual, so no matter where you are on your journey we can work alongside you helping to find the tools you need to get to where your heart desires. Diet, routine & daily self care are all considered as we work together to find exactly what works for you.


The wisdom of Ayurveda provides us with guidance in all aspects of life and even the most minor additions to your daily routine can go a very long way. Simple short acts like an Ayurvedic oral care routine, a short meditation practice, a sleep routine, a morning walk or asana routine can have a huge impact on where we go next in our day. Adding one or more of these will create an immediate shift & we usually see that one leads to another quite quickly. The accumulative effect of these small choices is indeed profound.


It is not often that drastic changes are the most successful method in the lifestyle shifts we are looking for, often we see that simply adding some simple self care practices have the more lasting effect. These practices then tend to impart a subtle yet significant influence on our choices through the rest of the day.


Simply adding positive elements to our life often means that those which no longer serve us will naturally fall away. No pressure, no timeline, just getting to know ourselves and giving ourselves the care we so dearly deserve. No need to force things & no need to feel as though we need to change who we are.


If these rituals took only 30 mins or one hour of your day and returned you a balanced body & mind, would you give it? Where could we find that time?

I would say that the key to finding that time is make these acts Rituals rather than routine. These positive anchors in your day can be the things you look forward to, not obligations but acts of self care that when you're doing them nothing else exists. It may take effort in the beginning but after a while i assure you, the shock will be how you feel when you miss out on practicing your rituals. You'll wonder how you ever lived with out them!


Most powerfully & most importantly, it is undeniable that giving this love & care to yourself will then flow into to all of the people and aspects of your life that you love.
